Our School

Victor Seymour is a 3 form entry Infant School with 270 Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children and a 52 place Nursery.

We are situated in Denmark Road Carshalton, 2 minutes of Carshalton Railway Station, within the London Borough of Sutton.

We pride ourselves on our determination to be the very best school we can in all ways from the staff, governors and PTA. We work hard at ensuring our communication with parents/carers and the whole community enables us to be an approachable school that cares about our whole school community.

We also have a Children’s Centre which provides a variety of activities for the community on a drop-in or booking basis. Here parents/carers as well as other members of the family can come and bring children from birth to 5 to join the exciting opportunities we have to offer from Messy Play to Musical Maestros.

Information on a variety of issues can be found here. Come and look round our facilities.

We welcome visits to the school and hold weekly tours for prospective parents/carers in the Autumn term. If you are interested in our school please contact Mrs K Whittle in the school office: 020 8647 9800

At Victor Seymour Infants’ every child will develop the skills, knowledge and understanding to enable them to lead confident, healthy and independent lives. We pride ourselves on the behaviour of our children and that they enjoy coming to school.

‘The children’s personal and social development is outstanding and this results in exemplary behaviour in and around school’. ‘Pupils are happy and they feel safe in school’(Ofsted October 2008)

Every Child Matters here and our expectations of everyone are high. We encourage and support every child to reach their potential and do this by developing confident, independent learners who can make choices and who know their next steps in learning.

We are also proud of the wrap-around care we provide before and after school and our Children’s Centre, where we work with families to provide the very best opportunities for the very young children in our community.
